Directions within Magdeburg

From Magdeburg Mainstation by tram/bus
From the main station forecourt (Willy-Brandt-Platz exit), take tram line 9 towards Reform or line 10 towards Leipziger Chaussee.
Get off at the Universitätsklinikum stop (approx. 15 min)
From there, it is approx. a 3–5 min. walk across campus – follow the signs to Building 7 (lecture hall building).

Alternative: Bus
From the central bus station (ZOB) (directly at the main train station), take bus line 161 or N4 towards Universitätsklinikum (approx. 9–10 min.).
Get off at Universitätsklinikum, then take a short walk to Building 7.

Arrival by car
Magdeburger Ring (B 71)
Exit Uniklinikum or Wiener Straße in the direction of Leipziger Straße (car entrance: Fermersleber Weg)

Traveling to Magdeburg by car

From the North (Berlin/Hanover via the A2)

  • Take the A2 toward Magdeburg, then the B189 onto the Magdeburger Ring (southbound: Halle/Halberstadt).
  • Leave the ring road at the Universitätsklinikum/Sudenburg exit.
  • Turn left at the traffic lights onto Fermersleber Weg, continue straight ahead for approx. 400 m – the entrance to the campus is on the right.

From the South (Halle/Leipzig via the A14)

  • Take the A14, exit at Magdeburg Zentrum, then take the Magdeburger Ring (heading north: Hannover/Berlin).
  • Do not leave the ring road at Leipziger Straße, but take the next exit at Universitätsklinikum.
  • Turn right onto Fermersleber Weg, after approx. 400 m turn right into the campus.

From the West (Braunschweig/Dresden via the A2)

Traveling to Magdeburg by train

From  Berlin Airport BER
Step 1: From BER to the train platform
Follow the signs to the BER airport train station (S-Bahn/regional train, directly below the terminal).
Take the S-Bahn RE8/RB22 towards Potsdam Central Station (approx. 25–30 min.)

Step 2: From Potsdam Central Station to Magdeburg Central Station
Change trains at Potsdam Central Station (approx. 5 min. wait).
Take the RE/IC/ICE towards Magdeburg Central Station (approx. 1–1.5 hrs, hourly, ODEG or DB).
Arrival at Magdeburg Central Station (main exit Willy-Brandt-Platz).

Step 3: From Magdeburg Central Station to the University Hospital

From Leipzig Airport LEJ
Step 1: From LEJ station to Magdeburg Central Station
From the airport terminal, follow the signs to the integrated Leipzig/Halle Airport station (approx. 5 min. walk).
Take a direct IC/ICE/RE train to Magdeburg Central Station (approx. 1–1.5 hours, DB or FlixTrain)
No need to change trains for direct connections!

Step 2: From Magdeburg Central Station to the University Hospital

From Hanover Airport HAJ
Step 1: From HAJ to Hanover Central Station
From the airport terminal, follow the signs to the S5/S2 S-Bahn (train station directly at the airport).
Take the S-Bahn toward Hannover Central Station (approx. 15–20 min.)

Step 2: From Hannover Central Station to Magdeburg Central Station
Change trains at Hannover Central Station (approx. 5–10 min.).
Take the IC/ICE/RE train towards Magdeburg Central Station (approx. 1–1.5 hours)
Arrival at Magdeburg Central Station (main exit Willy-Brandt-Platz).

Step 3: From Magdeburg Central Station to the University Hospital
